If you hear ‘card game,’ you could be solitaire, or maybe poker, Uno, euchre, or another classic card game that has been played for decades. But a new generation of card games has arrived that introduces more complex strategies, more imaginative themes, and more fun possibilities. In Race of Galaxy, players produce resources on planets and expand their control over space. In Everdell, players invite bushwhackers to their communities, build new structures and compete for different combinations. In Time Stories, players explore mysteries in Lovecraft shelters, zombie-infested towns, ancient Egyptian cities, and more บาคาร่า1688.
Although many game developers think they are working on video games, there are also card game developers discovering innovative new ways to play card games every year, so it is important for this list that we test a wide variety of games. In testing participants, I have played most of these games dozens of times already, with different arrangements of people. These are the most interesting, playable, and fun card games for 2021.
Some best game cards:
- Magic: The Gathering Arena
- Gwent: The Witcher Card Game
- Slay the Spire
- Monster Train
- Eternal Card Game
- Legends of Runeterra
MAGIC: THE GATHERING ARENA
Magic: The Gathering Arena is the best digital version of Magic to date, and Magic is probably the best paper card game in the area. Arena offers many of the gameplay possibilities and formats of classic Magic, one of the most popular trading card games, but with its sensory cues and lavish animations, many newly converted CCG players owe their games to games like Hearthstone.
LEGENDS OF RUNETERRA
League of legends fans is delighted; riot games have a precursor to being one of the best card games. We have created a guide on playing legends of runeterra if you want to get your head in the game.
SLAY THE SPIRE:
This grueling, rugged deck building lets you shoot up its titular spearhead – while fighting hordes of enemies. As you perish, you will see that a tower is a different place when you return, crammed with various enemies and obstacles. Whether it will work to your advantage, however, is another matter. You allow it to experiment with different cards and give a chance to different remnants to give your deck a push.
The monster train is a crook of the deck building in the same vein as slay the spire. There’re five demon clans to choose from, each with their theme and style of play; you choose two of these to put together your deck, one primary clan and one secondary clan. Hell has frozen, and your task is to transport the last burning pile of fire to the depths of hell and to fight the soldiers of heaven on their way. Your train has 3 floors, and the precious pyre is at the top – you have to defend it against attacking angels moving every round on a floor until you take it out and add a tower defense element to each battle.
GWENT: THE WITCHER CARD GAME:
Despite our mission to protect our surrogate daughter – and the world, no less – in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, we could not tear ourselves away from the taverns and gambling tables on which the country’s favorite card game is played. It might have been pretty deep for a distraction in the game then, but the full-fledged Gwent: The Witcher Card Game swallowed up our free time again.
ETERNAL CARD GAME:
Dire Wolf Digital is one of the best card game makers in the business, and their sequel to The Elder Scrolls: Legends occupies a glorious space between the tactical complexity of Magic and the accessibility and rewarding game mechanics of Hearthstone.
If the high fantasy, the style of Hearthstone’s World of Warcraft, is not your proverb, Shadowverse is a solid alternative. It shares most of its card game mechanics with Blizzard’s Hearthstone, but its Japanese heritage gives it a clear anime game aesthetic. It is also astonishingly deep, with an evolutionary mechanic encouraging buffers and transforming trolls.
